  • IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!!! We have to postpone the March 22 after school event due to the weather. It will now take place on April 12th.

  • We are accepting permission slips Thursday & Friday during lunch at the ASB snack shack!  If you have an ASB membership/sticker everything is FREE! If you don't, the event is only $15, you can pay by check, cash, or have your parents pay online.   Come for pizza, nachos, and a ton of fun activities including laser maze, game trucks, bungee trampoline, 30 foot slide, 45 foot obstacle course maze and so much more!

  • The kindness challenge this week is PARTNER UP!  Have you ever been doing group work in a class and noticed someone working alone? Working in groups can be exciting, but often we don’t realize that it’s not so easy for some people. This week, when a teacher asks you to pick a group, instead of jumping to work with a friend or your normal group, keep your eyes open and work with someone you haven’t partnered with before. You could say, “Hey, Want to work with me?” or “We could really use some help with this. Want to join our group?” This simple act of inclusion could make a huge impact on that person, and you might even make a new friend.

  • Game Cube is back on this week!

  • Dance club & Club active are on this week! Thursday 3-4 pm, meet in room 704.

This month all 7th graders will be attending an informational meeting during their science class about the upcoming field trip to California State University San Marcos.  All students will receive a permission slip at the presentation.  The CAPS presentation and permission slips are posted on the BVMS Counseling Webpage.

Please complete and sign the permission slip and have your child return it to their science teacher.

Field Trip Dates based on Science Teacher:

Friday, April 14th (Davisson and Vella)

Friday, April 21st  (Cortese, Lopez, Picquelle)

What do students need to bring?

  • A sack lunch-  students are not permitted to purchase food or drinks at the college.
  • A bag or backpack- to carry their lunch and a pen/pencil.  Students will not be able to leave any personal items on the bus.
  • A college going attitude

Why are we going on a college field trip? Temecula Valley Unified School District has a partnership with California State University San Marcos called CAPS.  CAPS stands for College Admission Promise for Students.  Students in TVUSD, have the opportunity to go to college through the CAPS program regardless of their financial means or background.  For students who meet the requirements of CAPS, this would mean guaranteed admission to CSUSM.  The first step of the CAPS program is for all 7th graders who turn in a permission slip to attend the CSUSM field trip.

Please contact our counselors if you have questions or if you would like to chaperone one of the trips:
