District News




After school homework help will begin on Thursday, October 2nd. It will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00-3:45 in the library. In order to attend, you and your parent/guardian MUST fill out the Google form located on the library webpage. After school help is available to the first 50 students only.


CJSF applications are due this week to Mrs. Easley in room 312 or Mrs. Picquelle in room 404. CJSF will have their first meeting on Tuesday, September 26th in room 404 during lunch.



Bella Vista East Coast Tour



When: Monday, Sept. 18th @ 5:30 pm

Where: Bella Vista Room #812

Join the trip of a lifetime with your friends and classmates from Bella Vista Middle School to Washington DC, Philadelphia, and New York. The trip dates are Spring Break 2018 (March 24-29, 2018) and the trip is open to all current 8th graders.

All registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and the only way to secure your or your child’s space is to register ASAP.

 “Because Nice Matters” week.  Be involved in ASB sponsored lunchtime activities all week. Take the pledge to commit acts of kindness all year long! And, dress up to support kindness at our school.

  • Monday 9/25 – Twin day – Team up against bullying – Dress like a twin
  • Tuesday 9/26 – Neon/Rainbow day – Be a bright shiny unicorn rainbow in someone's cloud-wear neon &/or rainbow colors
  • Wednesday 9/27 – Purple/Black day – Symbolize the emotional & physical scars bullying & hurtful words leave behind-wear purple & black
  • Thursday 9/28 – White day – Symbolize a fresh clean start-wear white head to toe
  • Friday 9/29 – BVMS Color Wars – Take PRIDE in your school & OTHERS! Wear your BV Grade Level Colors!         6th-RED   7th-WHITE& SILVER    8th grade-BLACK

BVMS wants to help our fellow Americans in Houston. The displaced people of Houston are in need of the following items:

  • Toothpaste
  • Toilet paper
  • Diapers (all sizes)
  • Baby wipes
  • Cat food
  • Dog food
  • Non perishable foods (including baby food)

If you would like to donate, please bring your items to the BVMS library. We will plan to ship out our boxes on September 29th.
