  • 8th Grade Luau Info - Our 8th Grade Luau will be held on Thursday, May 31st, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Only 8th grade students who attend BVMS are eligible to attend and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 and have less than 14 discipline points. There will be activities, photo booth, DJ, and food at this event. The cost is $20, or $10 with ASB membership, free with color battle participation. Parent chaperones are needed.   • Knott’s Berry Farm Trip Info - The 8th grade class trip to Knott’s Berry Farm is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6th. Students will depart from school at 8:30 a.m. and arrive back at school about 9:30 p.m. Please make arrangements to have someone here at 9:30 p.m. to pick up your child.  Cost: $65.00 - includes bus transportation and entrance to the park. We are excited to celebrate the culmination of 8th grade with a trip to Knott’s Berry Farm.  Since this trip occurs during school hours and students will represent BVMS, all behavior standards shall apply. Students must have a cumulative 2.0 GPA and less than 12 discipline points to be eligible. 
  • Permission slips and payment for the 8th grade end of year activities (Knott's & Luau) are due this week! They will be collected @ the ASB snack shack May 22-25th, during lunch. Please make checks out to BVMS ASB or you can pay online with a credit/debit card. You can visit the BVMS website and click on the link to pay or go to: bvmshawkshop.myschoolcentral.com If you pay online you still must turn in a signed permission slip for both events. 
  • 6th & 7th grade - Field day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6th, from 2 - 3 pm. All 6th & 7th grade students with less than 12 discipline points for the year, and no more than 2 within 30 days of the event are eligible to attend. There will be snacks, games, and a ton of activities for the students to enjoy. We need parent volunteers to help with the games and activities! If you are able to help, please contact Mrs. Davisson @ edavisson@tvusd.k12.ca.us.    If you are not able to volunteer, but would like to help, we are also accepting snack and water donations. Please contact Mrs. Davisson if you would like to donate.

  • ASB and SOAR leadership candidates: check your email for the task based interview dates and sign ups. Interviews are this week!!! May 23 and May 24! You need to sign up and attend the interview to be considered for ASB & SOAR leadership! 
  • ASB has try-outs soon for a new pep-hype squad called the Silverhawk Six! We are looking for two students from each grade level with the craziest most zaniest outgoing school spirit. You need to be incredibly outgoing and excited about pumping/hyping up all spirit days, events, and activities. Try-outs are open to all BVMS students that fit this description. See Mrs. Davisson during break for an application and try-out information. Try-outs are May 30th!

Attention 8th Graders:  If you are interested in CHS Platinum Sound & Emerald Guard than you may be interested in their upcoming events:

  • Thursday, May 3rd - Spaghetti Dinner (in lunch area) 5:00 pm ~ $5.00 per person; 6:00 pm  ~ Performances in gym
  • Marching Band Camp:  June 11 - June 15th & August 5 - August 10th Times TBD

Attention:  7th Grade Students - If you would like to be a Teacher's Assistant next year instead of being in regular explore class, you must complete a TA application.  You can pick up an application in the office, or download a copy from the website.  You must get a parent signature, a signature from the teacher that you would like to work for and meet the Student Aide Criteria in order to be considered.  Completed applications are due to your counselor by Friday, June 1st.
